Dakota Digital

1973-‘87 Chevy & GMC Pickup (including heavy-duty trucks through 1991)
1973-’91 Chevy Blazer & GMC Jimmy
1973-’91 Chevy & GMC Suburban

The 'square body' GM pickups have enjoyed a boom in popularity recently, and VHX-73C-PU is the perfect finishing touch for many of these builds. Easily installed using an original dash bezel (not included), this brings timeless style together with modern, world-class technology.

Fully lit needles, back-lit faces, and three highly visible LCD message centers are a few of the things that you can see which set the VHX Series apart from yesterday’s traditional approach to instrumentation. A few of the features which you don’t normally see are the micro-controlled precision stepper motors, solid state sensors for unparalleled accuracy, user-customizable displays, user-definable warning levels and programmable speedometer to accommodate various tire sizes/rear-end gearing combinations, all supported by an unrivaled limited lifetime warranty. The VHX Series has completely revolutionized the instrumentation industry with its mixture of technology, gorgeous design and attention to detail.

While the VHX system is designed to work in any stock square body GM truck, if you have done or plan to do a modern, OBD2 era, drive train swap, you can pair any VHX kit with Dakota Digital's BIM-01-2 OBD2 expansion module.  The BIM-01-2 module will communicate OBD2 information from your engine computer (PCM) directly to the VHX so you can avoid having to wire each function separately.  The BIM-01-2 also brings the ability to display many other vehicle parameters/information on VHX digital displays, so be sure to check it out if your truck is going to get an LS swap.

Illumination:  LED back-lighting automatically dims when headlights/parking lights are on.  LCD are also auto-contrasting for optimal view in the brightest of sunlight.
